Bill Cunningham New York
Watched this great, charming doc last night.  What an amazing character.  He’s almost not a human being.  He’s something else.  Whether it’s more than human or less than human I don’t know.  Perhaps that’s a bad way to put it because I don’t mean “less than human” in a disparaging way, it’s just an observation based on his life being devoid of almost everything another human has, or at least would want.  But that’s the thing, he doesn’t want any of that stuff.  So perhaps he’s evolved.  He only needs one thing in life, he knows what it is, and the rest can go to hell.  Or maybe he’s insanely repressed and just sublimates everything into his photography.  But if that’s the case, then he’s an extremely happy, well-adjusted repressed guy.  I don’t know.  I just know he’s incredible.
